My name is Sheena and I am the one behind all the things that are Silver & Sable Photography. Animals of all kinds have been my primary focus since obtaining my BFA with a major in photography over 20 years ago.

I have a deep connection with animals/nature and if you are here; chances are that you feel the same.

While no animal is off limits, ethical practices that keep both the animals safe and as stress free is of the upmost importance. This includes sticking with natural light for both wildlife and pets, maintaining safe distances, safe guarding locations and altering sessions to make sure your pet feels most like themselves.

My practice has lead me to connect the way in which I produce products and services that aligns with my love for the environment. Supporting other local businesses, reducing waste, creating finished pieces that last longer and rescuing vintage framing and art before they reach our landfills when they can be made new again.

I recently have added in an exploration of people with my side project “Have You Ever Seen a Soul” which can be seen on instagram @haveyoueverseenasoul. Connecting people and our relationships seemed like a natural evolution and I am excited to see where that goes.
